Make-Ahead Turkey Burgers

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Makes: 6 (4-ounce burgers)

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound 94% lean ground turkey
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 egg
  • Dash red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp mustard
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Roasted red peppers, sliced into strips  (optional)

Directions:

  1. COMBINE all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. SPRAY bottom of aluminum cookie sheet with fat free cooking spray.
  3. MEASURE out 4 ounce portions of ground turkey and form into patties.
  4. PLACE each patty on the cookie sheet.
  5. BAKE in 450° oven for 17-20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 180°F.
  6. TOP with 1 slice of roasted red peppers if desired.

Serving suggestions: Steamed vegetables and 1 slice whole grain bread.
